The Asia Pacific Dental Students Association (APDSA) is a federation of dental students across the Asia-Pacific region, comprising members from various countries. Its mission is to promote collaboration among dental students both regionally and internationally. APDSA supports various activities, including academic events, cultural exchanges, and international cooperation.

         One of the associations major events is the APDSA Annual Congress, which is hosted by a different member country each year. Another key event is the APDSA Mid-Year Meeting (MYM) or the Lend a Hand project. This mid-year initiative focuses on promoting oral health and volunteerism across various countries.

              The APDSA Annual Congress is an international event that brings together dental students from across the Asia-Pacific region through collaboration and teamwork. This year marked the 50th anniversary of the congress, with Thailand proudly serving as the host country. I had the honor of being part of the organizing team, serving as Vice President 1: Activity, an experience that was both invaluable and unforgettable.

                My responsibilities at this years congress included registration management, group leader coordination, and organizing the night tour. These were key components of the event, requiring extensive communication with both domestic and international participants and thorough pre-event planning to anticipate and address potential issues.

          The preparation took nearly 10 months, and naturally, many challenges arose along the way. However, those challenges became growth opportunities. I learned how to collaborate with a large and diverse team, manage responsibilities under pressure, and adapt to unexpected situations. Most importantly, I gained meaningful friendships with fellow Thai dental students and international peers alike.

This experience truly shaped me as a dental student, a global citizen, and a leader.

          The 50th APDSA Annual Congress in Thailand was a valuable experience and a significant memory for me. It reignited my passion for dentistry and gave purpose to my journey as a dental student. This congress became one of the most fulfilling chapters of my life, filled with joy, personal growth, and the warmth of a genuinely supportive community.

        Being part of the APDSA family was a privilege, and I now understand the true meaning behind the organizations saying:
