The Path to Success of a Dentist with First-Class Honors (Bilingual Dentistry Program)
Interview with Dr. Pitchaporn Tantawejthong (Palm), Graduate of the Faculty of Dentistry, TU Dent TU 23 (Bilingual Program, Class 4).
Dr. Palm is one of the proud alumni of the Chulabhorn International College of Medicine and the Faculty of Dentistry, Thammasat University, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Dentistry with First-Class Honors and the "Good Learning Award (King Bhumibol Scholarship)."
Q1: What is the most impressive aspect of studying at the Faculty of Dentistry, Thammasat University, for you?
A: "The learning atmosphere here is great. The professors are friendly and approachable. When you have a problem, you can easily consult with them. There are also senior students, staff, and friends who provide support throughout your studies."
Q2: What is the secret to your success in achieving First-Class Honors?
A: "The key is to adjust your mindset to enjoy learning, not to pressure yourself too much, and to learn how to balance time for rest and fun with friends. Good learning should be accompanied by a good quality of life."
Q3: How has studying here helped you develop as a person?
A: "This place has helped me develop strong self-management skills because we have to manage our time, studies, and clinic work independently. These are essential skills that will stay with me in my professional career."
Q4: Do you have any advice for students currently studying here?
A: "I would advise students to manage their time well and to be brave in approaching professors. Even if professors sometimes seem strict when we make mistakes, it's because they want us to improve. The important thing is to prepare well, and if you have any doubts, ask questions right away. Don't let things pile up, as it will negatively affect your studies."
Q5: What advice do you have for students considering applying here?
A: "For those still finding themselves, I recommend joining the Faculty's camps to gain real experience. If you love dentistry, it's not as hard as you might think. Just be dedicated and give it your all. I believe everyone can do it!"
Recently, Dr. Palm passed the entrance exam and will pursue specialized training in the Residency Program in Endodontics. We wish Dr. Palm the best of luck in her future endeavors.
